Off-Site Meeting Venues: Landmarks to Live It Up

Meetings become lifetime experiences when hosted in one of Washington’s most unique meeting venues.

JM Cellars

Not only is this Woodinville winery one of Washington’s premier wineries, it’s also an amazing event venue featuring several unique spaces, including the barrel room and wine library, the rock garden set against the backdrop of the winery, and the arboretum that features rare conifers and pines, Japanese Maples, hundreds of Rhododendrons, and five of the largest trees of their kind in the United States.

Boeing Museum of Flight

With several unique venue options offered in this museum that specializes in one of the largest air and space collections in the world, perhaps the most unique are the exhibit spaces themselves, where you can dine and mingle among some of the most incredible aeronautical artifacts, including the 100-foot-long, four-story-high NASA Space Shuttle Trainer and 28 WWI and WWII fighter planes.

Argosy Cruises Dinner Cruise

After boarding Lady Mary, featuring lush carpets, mahogany trim and bronze metal accents, as well as an enclosed main deck and partially enclosed second deck, your group will depart for an hour-and-a-half narrated cruise of Lake Washington. Dinner is included while you cruise past magnificent lakeside properties and learn the history of one of the world’s truly beautiful urban lakes.

Space Needle

There’s nothing more memorable than hosting an event in Seattle’s iconic 600-foot observation tower and one of the most recognizable structures in the world. The Skyline Level, located at the tower’s 100-foot mark, offers two private rooms that can be used individually or in combination to accommodate up to 350 guests and overlooks a dramatic 360-degree panoramic view of the city.

Chihuly Garden and Glass

This iconic Seattle landmark set in the shadow of the Space Needle provides several unique spaces, accommodating anywhere from 80 to 1,500 guests, amidst the one-of-a-kind glasswork by Pacific Northwest artist, Dale Chihuly. Choose from the 40-foot-tall Glasshouse, housing a suspending 1,340 piece 100-foot long sculpture; the Garden Plaza and Galleries; or the Art Plaza, nestled between the Glasshouse and Chandelier Walkway with a spectacular view of the sweeping grounds.

Meeting Technology & Amenities: Simple to Smart

Offerings – from high-tech highlights to just plain ingenious add-ons – that make holding a meeting at Willows Lodge unlike anything else.

Wine Tastings within Walking

A great way to bookend an afternoon of meetings, groups can check out some 40 tasting rooms within easy walking distance of the lodge. A few popular ones with guests: Chateau Ste. Michelle (located directly across the street from the Lodge), Guardian Cellars, Mark Ryan Winery, and DeLille Cellars.

Burke-Gilman Sammamish River Trail

The lodge is a quick walk or bike ride away from an easy access point to this beautiful trail routed along a historic railroad bed for 18 miles and running from Woodinville down into Seattle. For groups up to 10, the lodge can provide hybrid mountain bikes and helmets.

Northwest Artwork at Every Turn

Throughout the gardens and public spaces, you’ll find an extensive collection of artwork by Haida Native Americans, the first inhabitants of the Pacific Northwest. Take a self-guided tour and see them all during downtime, including bronze and glass sculptures, oil paintings, and the two patina-worn heads in the Spa Courtyard done by Bill Reid – the Haida’s most legendary artist.

Willows Lodge Lawn Games

With so many grassy areas located on the grounds of Willows Lodge, groups can take a break in-between sessions and take advantage of a nice day by enjoying a game of bocce ball, ladder golf, or corn hole.

Versatile & State-of-the Art Spaces

Five reception and banquet rooms accommodate groups up to 180 people in cozy, well-designed environs that feature stone fireplaces, large windows for natural sunlight, and patio doors that open to herb gardens. But more than just a pretty space, the latest A/V technology, plus on-site assistance, is also available.

Event Themes: Prepare to be Inspired

A few of Willows Lodge’s corporate party ideas that your team will be talking about well into next quarter.

DIY Your Way

Blend it your way, shake it your way, top it your way. In these interactive foodie-themed classes, groups will learn wine-blending techniques from the lodge’s sommelier; how to make simple syrup from a bartender; and how to use sweet, salty, spicy, and savory dessert toppings from the pastry chef.

Corks & Canvas

No need to BYOW (bring your own wine). Instead of hosted in a studio, this painting class – similar to the popular paint and sip classes that have taken the nation by storm – takes place at your group’s choice of a participating winery.

Spin into Summer

This colorful garden party features pinwheels and a prize wheel for guests to take their go at winning various handcrafted local goods, from bottles of wine and beer to gourmet salt and spices.

Concert at Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery

While best known as the home of Washington’s most famous wine, Chateau Ste. Michelle is also home to one of the most popular music events in the area. Taking place on the estate’s rolling lawn, the summer concert series has hosted the likes of John Legend, the Blues Brothers, and James Taylor.
