From golfing on picturesque and challenging courses that will test your skills, to bike riding the Sammamish River Trail, to soaring high above the landscape in a hot air balloon, there’s a wide array of outdoor activities to choose from.

Golf Courses

There are many beautiful and challenging golf courses in the Puget Sound area, as well as several TPC courses nearby. Check out: Willows Run, The Golf Club at Echo Falls, The Golf Club at Newcastle, The Golf Club at Redmond Ridge

Bike Riding

The Burke Gilman Trail, a 26-mile paved trail borders Willows Lodge and runs all the way into Seattle. The multi-use trail is perfect for a scenic walk, run, or bike ride. The lodge has complimentary bikes available to check-out through our Guest Services.

Bicycle Tours

Bicycle Adventures explores the very best of the Pacific Northwest and Seattle by bike.  Ride all the way from the Woodlands of the Cascade Range downhill into Woodinville Wine Country and into the heart of Seattle's waterfront.

Duffy Boat

Duffy Electric Boats NW

Duffy Electric Boats NW provides a fun, environmentally friendly activity on Lake Washington. The six boat fleet of 21' Duffy Electric boats can be rented by the hour from Marina Park in Kirkland. Each boat holds 10 comfortably, up to 12 maximum. No boater's permit required as the electric boats are less than 15hp. Rafting / Kayaking / Hiking

White river rafting and kayaking are popular on the Skykomish and Sammamish Rivers.  During summer months, paddleboards and kayaks are available for rent through Whats Sup. The nearby mountains are filled with hiking trails.

Whale Watching Tours

Cruise to the spectacular San Juan Islands to see orcas and humpback whales frolic in the waters just a little over an hour north of Seattle. Puget Sound Express departs from Edmonds, WA. See gray whales migrate through the Strait of Juan de Fuca and Puget Sound in the Spring and then experience a 4 1/2 hour trip featuring a menagerie of whales, porpoises, dolphins, seals, sea lions, otters, shorebirds and many other species of marine life during the Summer and Fall.

Experience the peace and beauty of the Sammamish River Valley with Let's Go Ballooning as you soar high in the air with scenic views of Mt. Rainier, the Seattle skyline and picturesque Woodinville. Flights are typically offered July through September.
