At latitudes similar to France, Washington State has become one of the top wine producing regions in the world. Nestled in the Sammamish River Valley, just 25 miles north of Seattle, Woodinville has become Western Washington’s wine and culinary destination of choice. Part of Washington’s wine magic takes place in Eastern Washington, where many of the grapes are grown and part of it goes on right outside our door. Woodinville is currently home to nearly two dozen wineries. Many are open for daily tasting including Columbia Winery, Silver Lake Winery and Chateau Ste. Michelle. Or you may wish to sample some of the nation's most highly-regarded microbrews at the Redhook Brewery. It's easy to find. It's right next door.
